Facilities basics

• Users choose their properties frequently by the range of facilities! Most filters on the Holidu page are based on facilities
• To update the facilities, you need to PUSH the entire facilities object. Updates for single fields are not possible, otherwise the data will be overwritten.
• If can cannot identify a matching parameter:type in the list you get from here, you have the option to push the raw facility names from your system without mapping to a Holidu facility type. We kindly ask you to communicate this to your technical account manager, in order for us to initiate the mapping on our end.
• Please always push all bed facilities, as it is very important to the guest to know which bed types and sizes we be available in an apartment

In order to increase the performance and avoid disappointments for the users, it is crucial that you push all available facilities. The average amount of facilities per property on Holidu is 13, we strongly recommend not providing less than that.

Facilities, especially the most important ones like POOL, PETS, WIFI, ... are very important to the customers, so please make sure to provide us all the details when it comes to times they are available, extra charges or other parts that may impact the customer experience.

Sustainable facilities

Holidu is fostering to offer more eco-friendly properties to our travelers!

How?: We are awarding all sustainable vacation accommodations with an
Eco-label, so travellers can easily identify all the eco-friendly properties
at Holidu.

• This badge will be granted when a property has at least 8 of our 41
  sustainable facilities.
• You may find the list here.

Visibility of facilities

• If maxAmount is specified, every value >1 will be visible with a count. If set to 0 or 1, the facility will be visible without specified count. Therefore please do not use maxAmount:0 in case a facility is not available!
• If privateUsage is specified as false, the following facilities will be marked as "shared", if set to true set to "private"

• If additionalFeesApply is set as true, there will be "Additional Cost" displayed for the facility. The specific costs for the facility is then provided separately via extra cost endpoint
• The room object will only be considered for bed facilities. For all other facilities we will cluster facilities in our default categories, such as for instance bathroom or kitchen.
• An applicable season that is specified in availableTime object and can be visible for all facilities through a flag called "seasonal" with mouse over for the applicable time of months.
• If location is set as NEAR_BY, this will only be shown for facility for Parking
• Please note: we do not display POOL and SAUNA at all if they are marked as NEAR_BY. For all other facilities location:NEAR_BY will treat facilities available and visible without specific flag.

Sustainable facilities

In an effort to promote sustainability, Holidu will be promoting sustainable friendly properties. To be qualified as sustainable, a property needs at least 8 facilities from the list below.

When doing so, Holidu will be adding the Eco badge to the property, both on list and detail pages :
