Holidu API V2 is Officially Released!

Marie-Lena Mayerhofer
Holidu

We are excited to announce the release of Holidu API version 2! This latest version includes a range of new features and enhancements that we believe will greatly improve your experience with our platform.

We have given our best effort to improve our Holidu API for our partners, making it easy to update information, removing redundant fields, using simpler object structures, and much more:

One of the most significant changes in this release is the addition of a granular endpoint for apartment management. This new endpoint will give you more control over your apartment listings, allowing you to manage your information in a more efficient and accurate way.

Therefore you will benefit from a straightforward, clean, and simple Holidu API V2 making it fun to work with:

Another exciting new feature is the apartment validation endpoint. With this new endpoint, you'll be able to validate the status of your apartments and make sure all the information, such as availability for booking, is up-to-date and complete. If for any reason, your apartment becomes inactive, you can use the validation endpoint to quickly identify the reason and take the necessary steps to get it reactivated.

Further, Holidu API V2 allows you to activate and deactivate apartments effectively through our new activation and deactivation endpoints. This eliminates the need to push Updates regularly in order not to let apartments go offline. This will for sure help you save your resources!

We've also made significant improvements to our discount model, making it more flexible and customizable to meet your specific needs.

The booking notification body has been enhanced as well providing you and your customers with all relevant booking information (for instance we found an even more comprehensible way of transferring the extra cost of each booking).

In case of cancellations Holidu API V2 introduces an automated cancellation process, allowing partners to receive instant notifications about canceled bookings.

For easy and efficient testing, we have set up a SANDBOX environment to ensure an even more easy and quick integration process.

Lastly, query parameters such as providerApartmentId, and provider were removed from the request body, those will now always be part of the URL and never part of the body.

We hope you will enjoy these new features and find them helpful in managing your apartment listings on our platform. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We are excited to announce a new /validation endpoint in our version 2 API. We understand the importance of having accurate and up-to-date information for your apartments, which is why we have implemented this new feature.

In the event that your apartment becomes inactive, the /validation endpoint will provide you with the specific reason why, so you can take the necessary steps to get it reactivated.

To use this new endpoint, simply make a GET request to /validation. The response will include the validation status of your apartment, along with any information that is missing or needs to be updated.

Check out our guide on possible error code you could encounter, as well as how to solve it here.

We hope this new feature will improve your experience with our platform and make it even easier for you to manage your apartments. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
